Springtime and a few other things...

On my way into work with my husband this morning (to pick up the Escort from Top Truck), we were listening to EWTN and heard Alveda King talking about Priests for Life and an upcoming novena in remembrance of Terri Schiavo.  Remember the story of Terri Schiavo?  The woman whose feeding tube and water were completely removed.  All life is precious...from conception until natural death.  Only God has the right to make these types of decisions, not the courts.  Please follow the link below if you feel inclined to join in the Prayer of Remembrance for Terri Schiavo.  http://www.priestsforlife.org/novenas/terris-day.htm

It looks like another absolutely beautiful day in Connecticut!  The weather the past few days has been exceptional, although the need for rain is ever present and in the forecast for tomorrow.  Today I have noticed that the red hue of the maple trees is getting brighter, the forsythia that were mere buds yesterday are showing more of their yellow color that that are infamous for, the songs of the many birds welcoming the new season, the spring peepers heard driving past a pond, and the grass turning from the dingy brown to a beautiful green.  Spring is one of my favorite seasons of the year....it is just as the Risen Christ.....NEW!

Along with the wanting of being outside to enjoy the warm sun and glorious temperatures, there are thoughts of hanging out sheets on the clothesline or taking our annual camping trip to Rocky Neck State Park.  So, the children have turned their attention to cleaning and airing out the airstream.  Our own 1969 Sovereign Land Yacht.

Before we know it our new chicks will be outside with the other chickens.  They seem to have hit their "ugly phase" since their feathers are coming in.  We have 14 white rocks, 12 black astralope, and 1 straight run (aka, rooster)...lovingly named, 'Oddball'.

Later today we're going to make some homemade vanilla pudding.  When we made cream puffs on Saturday, I searched the web looking for a quick, yet delicious, recipe.  So, I made sure to add Taste of Home to that search.  The recipe I found was one of the best I've ever used.  Definitely a keeper!  I'll be sure to take pics, and post the recipe later today.

In the meantime....may God bless you and yours abundantly....and remember...
